What is the oldest canal in Amsterdam? And who built it? You’ll hear and see it all during a 45-minute multimedia tour. Through beautifully executed models, projections, special effects and audio, you can see the canals and the city developing around you. It is an experience that you cannot miss as a resident, visitor or lover of our beautiful city.

Our audiovisual exhibition is visited with a free audio guide. It is available in nine different languages: Dutch, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) and Russian.

 

Our tour starts every 10 minutes

The audio guide guides you through five rooms. This takes about 45 to 50 minutes. There stars a new tour every 10 minutes, each tour has place for 12 people. The start for the last tour is at 16:30.

After the exhibition there is the possibility to visit our temporary exhibitions, period rooms and garden.
